A Victorian Christmas at Townend: 6-7, 14-15 and 20-21 December

Step back in time at Townend. The fire is lit, the house is decked with traditional festive foliage and the smell of Christmas fills the air. This is your chance to experience the farmhouse by candlelight, as it would have been during the late 1800s.

Santa Paws Photo Studio at Fell Foot: 30 November and 7 December

Pull on your Christmas jumpers and head to the pop-up photo studio where professional dog photographer, Shaun Barr, will capture a festive image of you and your pooch. Book your 15 minute slot online.

Family Festivities at Allan Bank Grasmere: 1-22 December

Enjoy the welcoming warmth of the roaring open fire and the natural seasonal foliage adorning the house. With activities for the whole family including the Santa Paws Studio, Christmas crafts and winter woodland walks, this is a fun, festive day out. Click here for more information.

Fairy Lights at Aira Force: 13-14 and 20-21 December, 4.30-7.00pm

Each year local school children make decorations for a handful of trees in the glade at Aira Force. Coupled with twinkling lights and some beautifully illuminated trees, this becomes a short stroll full of festive cheer. Warm up with a hot drink from the welcome hut or bring along your own flask. 

Winter at Sizergh: 22 November-24 December, 12.00-8.00pm 

There's a winter wonder for the whole family at Sizergh this year. Wander through a nature-themed light and sound experience, discover a story of Christmas past in the House, and get creative with festive crafts in Great Barn.
