Fairy Lights at Aira Force: 13-14 and 20-21 December, 4.30-7.00pm
Each year local school children make decorations for a handful of trees in the glade at Aira Force. Coupled with twinkling lights and some beautifully illuminated trees, this becomes a short stroll full of festive cheer. Warm up with a hot drink from the welcome hut or bring along your own flask.
Winter at Sizergh: 22 November-24 December, 12.00-8.00pm
There's a winter wonder for the whole family at Sizergh this year. Wander through a nature-themed light and sound experience, discover a story of Christmas past in the House, and get creative with festive crafts in Great Barn.
Whether it's the nostalgic charm of a Victorian Christmas at Townend, the dazzling fairy lights at Aira Force, or the winter light displays at Sizergh, the National Trust has got something for everyone. Enjoy the cosy warmth and seasonal delights and make this festive season one to remember with family and friends in the beautiful Lake District.
