Situated at the heart of the Estate yet only a stone's throw from the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere, Helm Farm is accessed by private road at the top of a rural lane. There is ample parking in the carpark adjacent to the property. 

With numerous public footpaths leading straight from your door, this property is ideally situated for a welcome break in the Lake District. The unit has an L-shaped configuration with double bed sleeping area and two comfortable tub chairs. Cots and highchairs are available on request. A wall mounted TV with DVD player and CD player are positioned in this area. There is a dining table and two chairs next to a small kitchenette which has many of the conveniences of a full-sized kitchen including slimline dishwasher, fridge with freezer compartment, microwave and electric cooker and hob. The modern bathroom has corner shower, basin and WC. There is a sheltered seating area outside with small table and chairs and a communal grass area. There is also a secluded orchard available for all Helm Farm guests. 

Helm Mint does not take pets. Matson Ground Holidays has three pet-friendly cottages - Elm How, Matson Ground Lodge and Low Cleabarrow Farmhouse.

Helm Farm also consists of three other self-catering properties: Helm Lune (sleeps five), Helm Eden (sleeps four) and Helm Kent (sleeps four).

Helm Mint sleeps two. It is one of four units within the Helm Farm Complex. One mile from Bowness-on-Windermere the property is accessed via Helm Road. Please note this is a steep road which becomes single track and narrow at the top. A rough track leads to the property carpark.

PLEASE NOTE THAT HELM MINT IS WITHIN A CONVERTED OLD FARM BUILDING. THERE ARE CHANGES IN LEVEL ON THE OUTSIDE APPROACH. 

This property is not suitable for guests who require a wheelchair.

  • Step up to crazy paved path from car park.
  • Outdoor seating on grass area next to path.
  • Small step up to hallway through glazed doors.
  • Level access to open plan studio apartment (sleeping, dining and kitchen areas).
  • Level access into shower room.
  • There is no landline at this property, but mobile reception is good on most networks.
  • We regret no pets at this property.
